It has taken quite some time to get the house cleaned up enough to take pictures inside, but here we are! Pictures of the (soon to be) nursery will be coming in the next week or two--I wanted to wait until our crib arrives so we can set up the room properly! Also, the Bonus Room is still a little bit of a mess, so I will post those pictures in a few weeks.
Here is the main downstairs area--living room, kitchen, and dining area all open.

cabinets, flooring, & fall color
Byron & I laid the laminate flooring in the kitchen, master bath, and bonus room last week. Now the cabinets are up in the kitchen and master bath! I have been painting like crazy--especially the ceilings before the builders finish laying the rest of the floors.
Here is the kitchen--you are looking at the studs forming the back of the island, part of which is raised. The studs will be covered with beadboard and painted white.
Looking inside the kitchen and the island is on the left. In the back middle of the photo you can see the hole where the fridge will go.
Looking down our master bathroom at the cabinets and floor. We put paper down to protect the floors.
The fall color here has been incredible in the last couple of days! I think this week and next are the peak weeks. Really vibrant colors!
This is an autumn view down our road, with colors in the distance.

lots of progress!
We have drywall!! These photos were taken last Thursday. Now the drywallers are completely finished and have primed all the walls and ceilings. Byron & I started painting yesterday! We finished the entire bonus room and the kitchen, and today Byron did most of the ceilings upstairs.
In this pic, Byron is looking out the sliding doors in our bedroom in the afternoon.
The bonus room (laundry room through the door to the left) has really taken shape now that the drywall is up.
This picture was taken standing in the living room, looking at the fireplace. There will be bookshelves on either side of the fireplace.
Front of the house--siding is almost all up now, and painting is almost finished outside! First coat, that is...

roof & windows!
All the windows are in now!--except for the windows in the bonus room above the garage. (They were ordered later and are scheduled to arrive next week.)

trusses going up!
June 12 - the crane is lifting the trusses onto the second floor (mom & dad saw this!); the builders finish setting the trusses over the main part of the house by hand later that day and the 13th
June 14 - with the help of the crane, the builders set the trusses over the garage
the trusses over the garage create the "bonus room"; the builder in this photo is standing in the gap where the dormer will be
on the second floor, looking at the trusses; at the far end, the trusses are pointed from below to create a vaulted ceiling over our master bedroom
